We are recruiting internally for a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Despatch Team Leader to join our operations team based in Bridge of Weir, Glasgow. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely dispatch of goods, managing a team of dispatch operatives, and ensuring all aspects of the dispatch process adhere to safety, quality, and company standards. Your leadership will be crucial in driving continuous improvement in operations, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining our reputation for delivering premium leather products on schedule and in perfect condition.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience in an Operations Team Leader or similar supervisory role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities to coordinate dispatch schedules effectively.
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
