As our Engineering Team Leader, you’ll play an important role in leading and supporting the Maintenance Engineering team, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities and ensuring work is prioritised and completed safely and effectively. With a strong focus on Health & Safety, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement, you’ll help maximise equipment availability while developing a motivated, capable, and high-performing Engineering team.
In this role you will:
- Lead the team in day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring work is prioritised and completed safely and efficiently
- Organise and allocate maintenance activities with the Senior Maintenance Engineers, ensuring the right skills, resources, spares, and materials are available across every shift
- Embed our Zero Tolerance Health & Safety culture, ensuring safe working practices and appropriate risk assessments are in place before work begins
- Promote the use of T-Cards for near-miss and hazard reporting, ensuring appropriate action, feedback, and recognition
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, helping resolve maintenance issues and ensuring work is completed to the required standard
- Monitor Engineering KPIs and workplace standards, identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance activities, and ways of working
- Build an open, honest, and collaborative culture within the Engineering team, working closely with Production and other functions to meet operational requirements
- Coach, mentor, and develop Engineering team members, supporting their skills, confidence, performance, and continuous improvement

You will:
- Be a time-served and qualified engineer with experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Have a strong understanding of Health & Safety, with experience of improving working practices and promoting a safe working culture
- Have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and respond effectively to changing operational requirements
- Be an effective communicator and strong team player, confident working collaboratively with Engineering, Production, and stakeholders across the wider business
- Have experience of coaching, mentoring, developing, or leading people, with the ability to motivate others and lead by example
- Be confident providing technical guidance and support to engineers, with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to use KPI data to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain high standards
- Experience of using Coruson and/or a Maintenance Planning system would be desirable, alongside a commitment to demonstrating our values and delivering work safely and to the required standard
