Quality Improvement Leader (Internal Secondment)

Quality - Bridge of Weir, Glasgow

Ref: 151Tuesday 3 November 2026

Up to £46,500 DOE

Three years from now, when someone walks through our plant and sees a seamless, data-driven, “best in class” quality operation - they won’t see the problems we solved to get there.

They’ll see the result.

Right now, we’re on a journey. We’re building a culture where quality isn’t inspected at the end - it’s designed into everything we do. Where teams don’t just react to issues, they prevent them. Where data drives decisions, and continuous improvement is part of everyday thinking.

In this role you will:

  • Drive quality, safety, and compliance standards across the business
  • Use data and quality tools to identify risks and improve performance
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with key quality standards and systems
  • Improve right-first-time performance across internal, supplier, and customer processes
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and quality records are maintained
  • Work closely with teams and customers to resolve quality issues and drive improvements

You’re someone who sees quality as a competitive advantage, not just compliance.

  • You hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You have experience in quality within manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • You understand what “world-class” quality looks like in practice.
  • You can analyse problems and produce clear, factual reports.
  • You have experience in root cause analysis and improving quality performance.
  • You are interested in digitisation and continuous improvement.
  • You have the potential to lead and develop a team in the future.

The impact you will have:

You will play a key role in driving quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the business, ensuring standards are consistently met and strengthened. Acting as a deputy to the Quality Excellence Manager, you will take a proactive, data-led approach to identifying risks, preventing non-conformances, and improving right-first-time performance. You will lead root cause analysis, ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented, and support audits and quality processes across internal, supplier, and customer requirements. By using quality data and tools such as SPC and Power BI, you will help improve decision-making, strengthen QMS performance, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance, while working closely with teams and customers to resolve issues and build a strong culture of quality.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on-site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts.

We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.

Ready to be part of the story?

If you are passionate about driving quality excellence, using data to solve problems, and continuously improving standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and want to be part of a forward-thinking, high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you
