We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Leather Technologist to join our team in Glasgow. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and quality assurance of our leather products, ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet industry standards and client specifications. Your expertise will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical support, and innovation within our leather production facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a thorough understanding of leather technology, including raw material analysis, process optimisation, and product testing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain our reputation for high-quality leather products and drive technical excellence across all projects.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience in a leather technologist role, preferably at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of leather manufacturing processes and quality control standards
- Experience with raw material selection and testing procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively across departments
- Relevant qualifications in leather technology or related fields
