We are seeking a skilled Shipping Administrator to join our team based in Glasgow on a short term contract ending 17 July 2026. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end administrative process for our global outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with international regulations, and timely invoicing. Your duties will include coordinating freight arrangements across air, sea, and road deliveries, maintaining accurate data entry, preparing necessary health certificates, and overseeing multi-currency invoicing activities. Collaboration with internal teams such as Distribution, Sales Support, and Operations is essential to ensure smooth dispatch processes and high service standards. You will also act as a point of escalation for complex shipping or documentation queries, supporting continuous improvement within the department and maintaining audit readiness. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, global environment for the UK's largest leather manufacturer, renowned for sustainable practices and innovative services.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or export administration environment
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring others is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Resilient, proactive, and driven to succeed
  • Advanced IT skills, including data management and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
