Two things define our future: how we operate today, and how accountable we are for it.
Across our business, sustainability isn’t a side initiative—it’s central to every decision we make. From achieving Net Zero to eliminating waste to landfill, we’ve set ambitious targets. But targets alone don’t create change. Data, discipline, and the right people do.
That’s where you come in.
Reporting to our Head of Sustainability and Innovation, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our environmental commitments are not only met—but continuously strengthened.
This isn’t just about compliance. It’s about making sustainability visible, measurable, and meaningful across the entire organisation.
You’ll be the person who connects the dots—turning complex environmental data into clear insight, guiding decisions at Board level, and ensuring our operations stand up to the highest standards.
In this role you will:
-
Ensure we meet and exceed environmental compliance standards, including IPPC/EASR licensing and ISO frameworks (14001, 50001), as well as carbon and energy obligations
-
Act as a guardian of integrity—auditing our operations and supply chain to ensure they meet globally recognised environmental and ethical standards
-
Turn data into direction—analysing environmental performance and shaping recommendations that influence business strategy
-
Bring sustainability to life across the organisation—working with teams to embed environmental responsibility into everyday operations
-
Lead the validation and reporting of key sustainability metrics, including carbon data, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and impact
-
Anticipate what’s next—tracking regulatory and environmental trends to proactively manage risk and opportunity
-
Contribute to our ESG story—supporting and shaping our Annual Group ESG Report with robust, auditable data
You’re someone who sees beyond compliance—you see the bigger picture.
-
You bring strong experience in environmental compliance, ideally within IPPC and carbon reporting frameworks
-
You’re comfortable working with regulators and external bodies, and confident navigating complex requirements
-
You have a sharp analytical mindset, paired with the ability to communicate clearly and influence others
-
You care about accuracy, accountability, and making a tangible difference
-
A background in Environmental Science or Management is preferred, and chartered status would be an advantage
