Great commercial partnerships are built on trust, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver solutions that create long-term value. In the aviation industry, success depends on understanding complex customer requirements, developing strong relationships throughout the supply chain, and consistently delivering products and services that enhance passenger experience, operational performance, and sustainability.

At Scottish Leather Group, we produce the world's lowest carbon leather and are recognised globally for our commitment to responsible manufacturing and continuous innovation. Through Muirhead, we provide premium aviation seating solutions, combining leather, seat covers, and foam cushion systems to support airlines, aircraft seat manufacturers, and aviation interior specialists around the world.

As VP Sales Americas - Muirhead Aviation, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth across the region. Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the regional sales strategy, expanding market share, increasing revenue and profitability, and strengthening Muirhead's position as a preferred partner for integrated aviation seating solutions.

Working closely with Commercial, Technical, Innovation, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams, you'll develop strategic relationships across the aviation seating value chain while identifying and securing opportunities with airlines, Seat OEMs, MROs, cabin interior specialists, and airframe manufacturers.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver and execute the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue growth, margin improvement, and market share expansion.
  • Identify, secure, and develop strategic opportunities with airlines, Seat OEMs, MROs, and aviation interior partners.
  • Build and implement account plans that increase participation across line-fit and retrofit programmes.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, managing complex sales programmes through to contract award.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior commercial, engineering, procurement, and programme stakeholders.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and long-term supply agreements to support profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with Innovation, Technical, Operations, and Marketing teams to deliver commercially successful customer solutions.
  • Champion Muirhead's evolution from a material supplier to a provider of integrated aviation seating solutions.
  • Take ownership of ambitious sales targets while delivering outstanding customer value and long-term business growth.

You're a commercially driven leader who builds lasting customer partnerships and delivers sustainable growth.

  • You have significant experience in a senior B2B sales role within aviation interiors, aircraft seating, aerospace manufacturing, or a related technical sector.
  • You have a proven track record of selling to airlines, Seat OEMs, MROs, or aircraft interior suppliers and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
  • You understand aviation seating supply chains, qualification programmes, and programme-driven sales environments.
  • You have experience managing complex, long-cycle sales processes, tenders, RFPs, and commercial negotiations.
  • You combine strong commercial acumen with the technical credibility to engage effectively with engineering and programme teams.
  • You are highly customer-focused and skilled at building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • You use data, market insight, and commercial judgement to make informed decisions and achieve results.
  • You are an effective communicator and influencer, comfortable operating in a fast-paced global environment and travelling as required.

The impact you will have:

You will play a critical role in the continued growth and success of Muirhead's aviation business across the Americas. Through identifying strategic opportunities, strengthening customer partnerships, and delivering profitable growth, you'll help expand our presence across both line-fit and retrofit seating programmes.

Your leadership will support the growth of integrated seating solutions that combine leather, seat covers, and foam systems, helping customers enhance passenger comfort, durability, sustainability, and operational performance. By collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple functions, you'll help ensure that customer requirements are translated into successful commercial outcomes that drive long-term business success.
